Last updated: February 2026 · ACRA — Agency for Child Relief Aid

Our Commitment

ACRA — Agency for Child Relief Aid is committed to ensuring this website is accessible to all users, regardless of disability, technology or circumstance. We believe that information about our humanitarian work should be available to everyone.

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA, the internationally recognised standard for website accessibility.

What We Have Done

To improve accessibility on this website, we have:

  • Used clear, readable fonts (DM Sans and Playfair Display) at appropriate sizes

  • Ensured sufficient colour contrast between text and backgrounds

  • Added descriptive alt text to images throughout the site

  • Structured pages with clear headings to support screen readers

  • Made all forms keyboard-navigable

  • Ensured buttons and links have clear, descriptive labels

  • Used plain, straightforward language throughout

Known Limitations

We are aware of the following areas where accessibility could be improved:

  • Some older PDF documents (annual reports and capacity statements) may not be fully accessible to screen readers. We are working to address this in future publications.

  • Some embedded content such as maps may not be fully navigable by keyboard. We provide text descriptions of map content as an alternative.

We are continuously working to improve accessibility across the site.
